Parawood 1/12 scale dollhouse picnic table. The table is slatted diagonally and finished in a coat of lacquer. The picnic table has a light colored modern furniture look with the wood grain showing through well. The table 3 inches square (7.5 cm) and stands 2.5 inches (6.25 cm) high.
Parawood is the wood from the rubber trees in the plantations. When old trees are no longer producing rubber they are replaced with new trees. Before there was no use for this wood but a way of processing it under pressure was discovered which allows it to be used for strong durable furniture. Using this wood is environmentally friendly and saves rain forest trees.
